Build a Wagon. Tell a Story.
The Historic Nissen House invites students, families, scout troops, classrooms, church groups, and community organizations to participate in our Bringing in the Harvest event by creating a tabletop wagon inspired by the wagons that once traveled the roads of Lewisville and the Great Wagon Road.
Your wagon can be historically accurate, artistic, whimsical, or built from recycled materials. The goal is to celebrate creativity while exploring the important role wagons played in farming, transportation, and community life in the 1800s.
All completed wagons will be displayed during our Harvest Festival on September 20, 2026.
